If you are planning on staying at home this weekend, might as well use the extra day to your advantage. The weather is supposed to be great, so get outside and get those outdoor projects out of the way before vacation season.

  1. Decorate Your Backyard

There are SO many ideas on pinterest and other home blogs to fancy up your backyard living space. You can create planter boxes out of pallets, outdoor seating, and amazing fire pit areas. With all the options, I couldn’t narrow it down.

    1. Trim Up

Trees, bushes and pretty much anything that is coming back to life, may have grown extra big last year. Protect your roof and siding from the branches and moisture, as well as keeping those critters away!

    1. Gardening

Gardening is something that is started usually late April, early May. Now that we have had some continuous warm weather it is time to get some stuff in the ground and add to your gardens. You may be transporting some vegetables outside to put in the ground, or planting some more annuals to spruce things up.  The beautiful thing about gardening, it can continue almost all summer long. Always room for improvement.

      1. Clean out the Gutters

Nobody likes doing this, but it has got to be done. If you haven’t got around to it yet this spring, now is a better time than ever. Wear goggles and a mask to protect yourself from debris and leaves collected over the winter. If your gutters are higher than your ladder, you might be better off hiring someone, but if not, use a sturdy ladder and get to work!

      1. Repair Paint

Your house may have become weathered over the winter, and freshening it up this time of year will give your house that extra pop. It also helps to protect the wood, rather than it being exposed directly to the elements. Also, you can touch up outdoor furniture, and decks while you’re at it.
